Established in 2003, the International School of Medicine became a part of the International University of Kyrgyzstan. Every year, the medical school admits 2500 students (approx..) from Central as well as South Asia.
Since 2003, the medical school is training highly-qualified specialists, conduct scientific research in medicine and provide health services to the population of Kyrgyz Republic as well as to its neighboring countries. Training at ISM is conducted with the most up-to-date educational technologies used to ensure highly efficient training of doctors.
The International School of Medicine is an official state educational institution with the license of Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyz Republic for medical education in General Medicine. The University is recognized by WHO, IIME, FAIMER, and ORPHEUS.

International School of Medicine Bishkek is approved by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) & Indian Medical Council (MCI), Students can appear in PMDC’s NEB Exam after Graduation from ISM Kyrgyzstan.
Accommodation

ISM provides accommodation in hostels with all modern facilities. Hostels have access to internet services and students are protected by the Association of students.
This University has excellent facilities for sports and leisure. There are various extra-curricular activities which include libraries, internet rooms, sport sections etc. 
Medium of instructions
The medium of instruction is followed in the ISM Bishkek is English and the student will learn the local languages. The classroom lectures, labs, instructions and all the examinations are conducted entirely in the English language at ISM and the coursework and curriculum are completely identical that pursued by the local Kyrgyz Republic medical students. Learning the Russian language (Kyrgyz Republic`s official language) is also mandatory during the first three years of the program. Learning the local language is essential for the students as it will be used in interactions with the locals, also, it is an obligation for students to be able to communicate with the locals during their practical classes.

Duration of Ism
The university offers MBBS medical course in English medium to foreign students for MBBS admission in Kyrgyzstan. The duration of MBBS course is 5 years. ISM has long been among the top and most renowned medical colleges in Kyrgyzstan.

Ism mess facility
Indian mess of International School Medicine Kyrgyzstan (ISM Kyrgyzstan) provides delicious Indian food to the students. Both veg and non-veg food is served. It is a big boon for the students as they get to eat Indian food on a daily basis and a low cost despite being so far away from home and in another country.
There are many Indian restaurants also available in Bishkek. If any student wants to cook food for themselves, then they can do so as there is kitchen facility available in the hostel.
