Chuvash State Medical university Chuvash State University is a classical university in the city of Cheboksary in the Chuvash Republic of Russian Federation. Chuvash State University has branches in the cities of Canas and Alatyr, as well as in the Chuvash State University in Batyrevo village of Chuvash Republic. On September 5, 1967, by the Order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the USSR established the Chuvash State University on the basis of the Volga branch of the Moscow Energy Institute. The first academic year started with 7 faculties. In 1968 faculties of Electrical Industry and Electrification were introduced, followed by physics and mathematics departments. In 1980 Chuvash State University opened representative offices in the regions of the Chuvash Republic. In 2012 Chuvash State University received Level IV accreditation.
