Chuvash State Medical university
Chuvash State University is a classical university in the city of Cheboksary in the Chuvash Republic of Russian Federation. Chuvash State University has branches in the cities of Canas and Alatyr, as well as in the Chuvash State University in Batyrevo village of Chuvash Republic. On September 5, 1967, by the Order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the USSR established the Chuvash State University on the basis of the Volga branch of the Moscow Energy Institute. The first academic year started with 7 faculties. In 1968 faculties of Electrical Industry and Electrification were introduced, followed by physics and mathematics departments.
In 1980 Chuvash State University opened representative offices in the regions of the Chuvash Republic. In 2012 Chuvash State University received Level IV accreditation. Today Chuvash State University has 115 departments with 750 members of teaching staff. Till date, Chuvash State University has trained around 19000 students.
There are 4 main academic buildings with 20 rooms for lectures. Students are offered to have practice at clinics with more than 2500 beds. The material and technical base of the faculty correspond to all modern requirements. What is more, Chuvash Medical Institute has become a major research center of the Russian Federation. Students can widen their knowledge at the library, where they are offered more than 160 000 of books.

Mode of teaching
English is the mode of teaching for foreign students including Indian students. However, some of the foreign students who prefer to study in the Russian language are also welcome. They study along with Russian students in the Russian language. The tuition fee for English medium students is slightly high than the Russian medium.
Accommodation
While studying, all the students are provided with comfortable rooms for living in hostels. Students are offered different types of rooms. Male and female students live separately at different floors. Bathrooms, lavatories and kitchens for students are arranged on the sharing basis. Students’ hostels are closely situated to the University
Quality of Student Life
The university has an active student council that believes that active participation of students while working together as organizers of various events will encourage the students to be a part of the active life of the faculty and the university. The members of the council have made it evident that they not only receive the best academic education but are also a part of various co-curricular activities like dance (various genres), acting, animation, instrumental music, delightful vocals, and many more. Being a health institution the members are quite conscious about maintaining good health of their students and so they motivate them to practice sports like football, volleyball, basketball, arm sport, weight-lifting, skiing, chess, etc.

Hostel
The rooms in this hostel are for three or four persons. There is a shower room, two kitchens, a classroom on every floor. There are also several students’ canteens and cafes on the territory of the University.
Rooms in other hostels of the campus are intended for two or three persons. These hostels are of apartment type. Every apartment is for 3-5 persons and has a shower room and a lavatory.
