 Kazan Federal University is one of the oldest Russian universities, associated with the names of Vladimir Lenin, Russian writer Leo Tolstoy, seven Nobel Prize laureates and modern statesmen. The university is located in a place where representatives of Islam and Christianity have coexisted for more than 400 years. Nowadays, Kazan Federal University is a dynamic modern university actively engaged in local and international cooperation and networking with academia and industry.
Over 9,000 international students from around 80 countries are enrolled on academic programs at Kazan Federal University.Till now, 44,350 students have been graduated from this University. Out of these, 4,252 students are international students from over 90 countries. With that, there are 3,000 faculty members. There are 590 degree programs in various disciplines out of which 17 courses are double-degree programs with the partner Universities. The University staff invites 157 professors from world-renowned Universities and research centers.

Kazan Federal University offers affordable on-campus hostel Facility to the students. All the international students are advised to choose and stay there for the initial Years. The hostels are equipped with all the necessary items such as a bed, tables, chairs, shelve, almirahs Etc. Students are eligible to rent flats or apartments and stay there in later years of their MBBS in Russia.

Kazan Federal University in 2011, library users have expanded the possibilities of using electronic resources from leading foreign and domestic publishing houses and aggregators (electronic library systems, Russian and foreign network resources, etc.).
Along with electronic collections, the library offers a fund of about 400 thousand copies of educational, scientific, reference and fiction literature in Russian, Tatar, English and German languages.
