Chita State Medical Academy is one of the eight public universities of Chita city of Russian Federation. Chita State Medical Academy includes 5 faculties, the center of Pre-Research Institute of Medical Ecology and dental clinic. ChitaStateMedicalAcademy trains students in 25 specialties. In Russia, only a few medical schools, including Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy, has at its base a dental clinic. After graduation, specialty work 95% of the graduates, indicating a high demand for medical personnel in the Trans-Baikal region and the Far East. Chita State Medical Institute (now Chita State Medical Academy) was established by a decision of the Council of Ministers on 3 July 1953 in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Health. Currently in Chita State Medical Academy about 2,500 students has trained in 4 specialties in accordance with state educational standards. In Chita State Medical Academy the education process conducts in 51 Department with Highly professional and scientific-pedagogical staff of  292 teachers, including 35 professors and doctors of sciences, 157 professors and PhDs, six full members and corresponding members of the Russian and foreign academies.

Students are offered hostels. There are different types of fully stocked rooms in hostels for students. Boys and girls live separately on different floors. Students can live in triple- and twin- rooms. Bathrooms and kitchens for students are offered on the sharing basis.

Mess

1. University has its own Mess which serves food according to there country (veg and Non-veg both).
2. Indian food are serving for the indian students so they don’t feel home sickness.Rice,chawal ,chapati with vegetable are serving in the University canteen.
3. Each Floor has 2 kitechens where students can cook on their own if they don’t need mess.
4. The continental food is avaialble in the canteens (India,Malaysian,Chinese,Arabic and other cuisine.
5. All types of vegetables,grains,pulses and fruits are available round the year.
6. University Dinning halls provide Buffets with hot food.
7. Normally punjabi and south indian foods are served for indian students .
8. University mess is managed by Indian Staff so students can get homely dishes.

Library

The Library meets the needs of more than 29 000 readers (students, post-graduate students and professors and lecturers of the University ). The Library personnel includes more than 120 librarians, 80% of them being the professionals with higher education.

The University fund houses more than 1 mln 200 thousand printed items consisting of books of fiction, scientific, academic and foreign literature, periodicals and journals.

The Library has 7 reading rooms and 500 places for readers. There are libraries attached to faculties, often consisting of modern specialized literature (professionally biased textbooks, manuals and periodicals).

The Library is one of the centres of the university students* activities. The forms of the Library communication with its readers are actually various: debating clubs, exhibitions of books, literary thematic reviews, presentations of new books, meetings with writers and journalists.
