The Kuban State Medical University is regarded as one of the oldest and leading Medical University in the Krasnodar city of Russia. Kuban State Medical University was established in 1920 as Kuban State Medical Institute. Since then it served for the betterment of society. It maintained well reputation for long and in the year 2005, it was accredited by the status of University. It ranked among the top ten Medical Institutions in Russia. Most importantly, the Kuban State Medical University is one of the five Universities in Russia, working with the biological material. Along with this, the Kuban State Medical University also develops a phantom study.

Kuban State Medical University is believed to be one of the oldest and the Top Medical Universities of Russia offering MBBS in Russia. The university was founded in 1920 in Krasnodar city of the Russian Federation.

The university was initially established as Kuban State Medical Institute and later in 2005; the institute was accredited by the status of “University”. During the II World War, the university was moved twice in the city of Yerevan and Tyumen.

At present, there are more than 7000 students studying MBBS at Kuban State Medical University. The university comprises of 65 departments with 624 faculty members including doctors, academicians and corresponding members of Russian and foreign academies, laureate, Doctor of Russia, etc.

The university is MCI approved and is enlisted with WDOMS (World Directory of Medical Schools). The graduates are eligible to practice their medical profession in any country of the world, once they qualify the medical screening test of that country.

ACCREDITATION

The Kuban State Medical University is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. It is to be mentioned that all the leading Russian Institution which offer degree in Medical Science, are recognized by the Medical Council of India.

FACILITIES FOR THE STUDENTS

International standard class rooms, vast library with reading room, well equipped lecture halls; technically advanced laboratories are available in the University. There is hostel facility available for the students coming from abroad. There is also a computer centre for the students to help them whenever they need assistance.

Accommodation

The university offers safe and comfortable accommodation to all its international students. There is a separate building to accommodate international students. The rooms are allocated on a double or triple sharing basis.

The university provides various modern facilities to all its international students such as central cooling and heating system, Wi-Fi enabled hostel campus, hostel mess with the availability of Indian food, laundry services, etc.

To ensure the safety and security of girl students, all the floors of the girl’s hostel are under the supervision of female wardens. The entire campus is under CCTV surveillance.

Library

The library comprises 16 departments / divisions and 11 libraries in the service of the University numerous affiliations in Novorossijsk, Abinsk, Gelendjik and other towns of the Krasnodar territory.

The Library meets the needs of more than 29 000 readers (students, post-graduate students and professors and lecturers of the University ). The Library personnel includes more than 120 librarians, 80% of them being the professionals with higher education.

The University fund houses more than 1 mln 200 thousand printed items consisting of books of fiction, scientific, academic and foreign literature, periodicals and journals.

The Library has 7 reading rooms and 500 places for readers. There are libraries attached to faculties, often consisting of modern specialized literature (professionally biased textbooks, manuals and periodicals).

The Library is one of the centres of the university students* activities. The forms of the Library communication with its readers are actually various: debating clubs, exhibitions of books, literary thematic reviews, presentations of new books, meetings with writers and journalists.

Student Life

Kuban State Medical University provides the opportunity for its students to enjoy and spend their leisure time interestingly, diversely, and meaningfully while fostering new friendships.

The university organizes various cultural events and encourages students to participate in those events as the university believes in the holistic development of every student.

To develop the professional skills of the students the university conducts various student-oriented programs such as student exchange programs, debates, conferences, seminars, etc.
